Filming FAQ's

Frequently Asked Questions

Whether you’re gearing up for your first industrial video or have partnered with videographers in the past, it’s natural to have questions. I’ve outlined some of the most frequently asked ones below. If there’s something else you’re unsure about, don’t hesitate to get in touch – I’m here to help.

How do I get started with a video shoot?

Just send me a message through the contact form, and I’ll arrange a free video call. We’ll talk through your goals, what you need from the shoot, and I’ll guide you through the next steps. Once we’ve agreed on the shoot plan, we’ll book a date and get to work.

Can you tailor the content to our industry or business needs?

Absolutely. I’ve worked with hundreds of different businesses and always keep up with the latest trends in video marketing. We’ll take time in the initial call to discuss what your audience needs to see and hear, and then I’ll shape the shoot around that.

Do you only film manufacturing and industrial content?

Not at all. While I specialise in industrial filming, I can shoot anything – from interviews and talking head videos to training sessions and events. Whatever the subject, I make sure it’s filmed professionally and with impact.

Do you offer photography as well as video?

Yes. I’m a professional photographer and videographer. Alongside video, I can provide high-quality stills including industrial photography and corporate headshots. Take a look at my photography work to get a feel for my style.

What does the production process look like from start to finish?

Once we confirm the shoot date, I’ll send you the plan we discussed along with a deposit invoice. On the day, I typically film drone and interview footage in the morning, followed by office or factory scenes in the afternoon. After filming, I’ll edit the footage and send you a draft for review. With your feedback, I’ll make any small changes before final delivery. My payment structure is 30% on booking, 40% on shoot day, and the final 30% when the video is delivered. Most projects are completed within two weeks.

What should we do to prepare our factory or site for filming?

It helps to tidy up-remove soft drink bottles, dust surfaces, and clear any debris from factory floors. Clean machinery and organised workspaces always come across better on camera. Also, please let your staff know about the filming in advance. If anyone prefers not to be filmed, I can work around them on the day.

Do you need any assistance on the shoot day?

Yes, having someone from your team like a marketing lead or supervisor makes a huge difference. I’ll need some help coordinating engineers or staff so we can capture the key moments without disrupting your workflow.
