The Pacific update for Warzone integrated Call of Duty Vanguards weapons into Warzone. With that comes the new assault rifle king; the Automation.
Editor’s Note: A lawsuit has been filed against Activision Blizzard by the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, which alleges the company has engaged in abuse, discrimination, and retaliation against its female employees. Activision Blizzard has denied the allegations. The full details of the Activision Blizzard lawsuit (content warning: rape, suicide, abuse, harassment) are being updated as new information becomes available.
The update to Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific Caldera integrated all of Call of Duty: Vanguard’s weapons into Warzone, causing many noticeable shifts in the battle royale’s meta. One stand-out weapon has been Vanguard’s Automation assault rifle. Its high fire rate and low recoil make the weapon easy to use, and the right build can make it a powerful option against opponents.
Players must unlock all attachments for their Automation in order to build the best possible loadout in Warzone. The gun unlocks at level 8, so players can unlock it fairly quickly. However, the gun’s max level is 60, which will require a solid grind to max out. The quickest way to rank the gun up is by playing Call of Duty: Vanguard multiplayer and using the weapon there. A Vanguard stealth Automation loadout is a solid way to rank the gun up in multiplayer; however, if a player does not own Call of Duty: Vanguard, they should instead grind Warzone’s Blunder mode to get XP fast.
The Automation is a very effective assault rifle at most ranges in Warzone Pacific Caldera. Although it may not have the fastest time to kill out of all assault rifles in Vanguard, its low recoil due to attachments and perks exclusive to Vanguard weapons make the gun one of the best assault rifle options in all of Warzone. The Automation is very effective at close- to medium-range but starts to lose its impact in longer-range engagements. Guns like the ITRA 11 may outgun the Automation at long-range, but the Automation has deep ammo reserves and shoots like a laser beam, so players shouldn’t have issues if they need to put a few extra bullets into their enemy to be effective at longer ranges.
The Best Automation Loadout For Warzone Pacific Caldera
The best possible loadout for Call of Duty: Vanguard’s Automation in Warzone Pacific Caldera includes the following attachments:
- Muzzle: Mercury Silencer
- Barrel: ZAC 600mm BFA
- Optic: G16 2.5x
- Stock: Anastasia Padded
- Underbarrel: Carver Foregrip
- Magazine: 6.5mm Sakura 75 Round Drum
- Ammunition: Lengthened
- Rear Grip: Pine Tar Grip
- Perk: Frenzy
- Perk 2: Fully Loaded
Call of Duty: Vanguard’s gunsmith allows players to equip 10 attachments to their weapons, something unheard of in Call of Duty’s past. This is great for Vanguard’s multiplayer but effectively breaks Warzone. Many of the Vanguard weapons are much better options than the rest due to the surplus of weapon attachments available in Warzone.
The barrel, stock, and grips for the Automation all work toward improving its accuracy and increasing stability. The 2.5x optic is extremely clean and will help players easily track their targets at a distance, while the 75-round drum mag makes sure players never have to stop their spray.
Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific Caldera is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series S/X, Xbox One, and PC.
